While no official statistics are available on the use of traditional smokeless tobacco in Guinea, the product is allowed and regulated as a tobacco product. The use and sale of smokeless tobacco are legal, and online purchases are also permitted. However, there is a ban on all forms of advertising, and health warnings are required on packaging. Unlike many other countries, Guinea has no minimum age restriction for the sale of smokeless tobacco products. This lack of an age limit may raise concerns about youth access to tobacco.
